Definitely book a table even if you plan to come during unusual hours. We cane between lunch and dinner and place was full. It has 2 levels: ground floor, underground and balconies. Daily there is some live music played during lunchtime. The main beauty you can experience from ground floor and balconies. The food is amazing, quite some local specialties and good wine options but mainly on bottles, not glasses unfortunately. Spup in bread is worth to try.

This place is a must if you are visiting Bucharest. The atmosphere is perfect 🤩 you get to dine in a beautiful place and we were lucky to have great live music as well. Staff was very polite and friendly.. service was fast. They serve big portions of traditional Romanian food. Every dish was delicious. We totally recommend.

Am luat masa într-o zi de duminică spre seară la balcon. Ospătarul a fost foarte amabil, copilului de 10 ani îi vorbea la plural, mâncarea gustoasă și servită destul de repede. Ambianța plăcută cu excepția unor clienți din peninsula iberică, un pic cam gălăgioși, probabil așa vorbesc ei.

Daniela was one of the staff that helped us with the service, she was very polite and nice! I didn’t feel bad for not giving tips like the dinner that we had here on Friday night. The food was really good both on dinner and breakfast!

The interior is really nice, but after promised 15minutes wait we had to lose 1 hour for waiting to be seated and spending money for expensive drinks at the bar. After seated we got our meal. This was terrible. If they call the staff they brought a meal, so they might go to the hell. As pork knuckle, it was maybe left overs from other customers, im adding a photo of it. Not tasty, not good, overpriced, overrated. After all they even asked for a tip from 10 to 20 percent…. Second photo of lamb schnitzel for 32 euros

The perfect mix of good food and a great view. If you wanna try traditional meals come here! Prices are well balanced with the rest of Bucharest. It's really easy to book a table on their website where you can also choose in which room you will eat (I suggest you on one of the balconies). Always ask them for the lunch menu it's the most convenient choice and they will not provide it if you don't ask.

I highly recommend booking as otherwise it is very difficult to find a place inside, we were there in the evening without a reservation, they offered us a table outside and brought a blanket, the staff is extremely kind. the dishes are not particularly elaborate but the quality of the raw materials is excellent. The house beer is excellent.

One of the most traditional restaurants I've ever been to. Stunning neo-gothic interior with the years of history and daily events (live music, private parties etc). Excellent food, local plates, big portions. Very nice and professional staff👍

First night at Caru cu Bere we were served by the amazing Fiori and her smiley and sparkling eyes. Food was yummy, the restaurant was very cozy. The second night, again a lovely experience at Caru Cu Bere! Amazing food, lovely place and very attentive staff. This time we were served by Deepak, who remembered of us from yesterday! Well done Caru cu Bere for providing such a nice experience through your premises, your food and mainly for your staff! Thank you so very much!

This is the place you go to try Romanian dessert! I had the Papanași with sour cherries. The portion is too much for one person, but the flavors are fantastic! We sat outside in the covered area, but the inside is amazing! The decor and ambience are not to be missed, especially if they have live music. Enjoy!
